Global IME Bank Secures NPR 19 Billion for Super Tamor Hydropower Project
Global IME Bank Limited has signed a financial management agreement worth NPR 19 billion for the 166 MW Super Tamor Hydropower Project. This financing arrangement, involving multiple banks, aims to enhance Nepal's energy generation capacity and support economic growth.

A financial management agreement has been established for the 166 MW Super Tamor Hydropower Project, with Global IME Bank leading a consortium of banks. The total estimated project cost is NPR 25 billion, with the banking consortium committing to finance 75% of this amount, equating to NPR 19 billion.
Participating banks include Siddhartha Bank, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Prabhu Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, and Nepal SBI Bank. The project is located on the Tamor River in Phaktanglung Rural Municipality, Taplejung District, and is projected for completion within five years. If successful, this initiative could significantly boost Nepal's energy output and promote exports.
