Global Lithium Resources Signs MOU with Southern Ports for Manna Lithium Project Export Pathways

ENERGY STORAGE

Global Lithium Resources (GL1) has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Southern Ports Authority to establish export pathways for its Manna lithium project near Kalgoorlie. The agreement aims to facilitate the export of up to 240,000 tonnes per year of spodumene concentrate through the Port of Esperance, utilizing existing port infrastructure and operations.

This follows a definitive feasibility study confirming the project's strong economics and long-term potential. GL1’s managing director, Dianmin Chen, emphasized the importance of efficient logistics for the project's success. The MOU reflects GL1's strategy to enhance export logistics to meet the increasing global demand for lithium, particularly for electric vehicles and renewable energy storage, as it approaches a final investment decision next year.
