More than 2,152 power plants are projected to come online globally in 2026, showcasing diverse energy sources. The Neom Green Hydrogen Solar PV Park in Saudi Arabia will be the largest, with a capacity of 4GW, combining renewable power generation and green hydrogen production.
The SunZia Wind Project in New Mexico, US, will be the largest onshore wind project at 3.5GW. China's Zhongwei Coal Fired Power Plant expansion will add 2.64GW.
