GlobalAI Acquires Former Carestream Property in Weld County for $15.6 Million to Develop AI Data Center
Global AI has acquired the former Carestream property in Weld County for $15.6 million, aiming to develop an AI-powered data center in collaboration with Nvidia and Saudi company Uman. The 438-acre site, which includes two large buildings, is noted for its power generation capabilities and potential for urban annexation to nearby Greeley or Windsor. While the project faces scrutiny over energy usage, it is anticipated to bring significant economic benefits to the region, contingent on political support.

A New York-based data center developer, linked to Global AI, has purchased the former Carestream property in Weld County for $15.6 million. The site spans 438 acres and includes two large buildings, previously owned by an LLC controlled by developer Martin Lind.
Global AI plans to construct an AI-powered data center in partnership with Nvidia and Saudi company Uman. Key factors include the site's power generation capabilities and potential urban annexation to Greeley or Windsor.
Although controversial for energy usage, the project is viewed as economically beneficial. The Greeley Planning Commission has recommended approval of a new Three Mile Plan to facilitate annexation. This property could connect to the Broe Group's development, with the decision of annexation resting with Global AI. Lind emphasized the potential for significant investment in the region, pending political support.
