GlobalFoundries Reports Q4 2025 Revenue Boost from AI, Data Centers, and Silicon Photonics Growth
GlobalFoundries achieved Q4 2025 revenue of $1.83 billion, supported by strong demand for AI and data center technologies. The company’s silicon photonics revenue doubled to over $200 million. Full-year revenue reached $6.791 billion, a 0.6% increase from 2024. Gross margin improved to 29% in Q4. Automotive revenue grew by over 36%, while smart mobile devices saw an 11% decline. Strategic acquisitions and investments, including Project SPRINT in Germany, are set to enhance manufacturing capabilities and support future growth.

GlobalFoundries reported Q4 2025 revenue of $1.83 billion, flat year-over-year but up 8% sequentially, with full-year revenue at $6.791 billion. The company saw gross margin rise to 29% in Q4. The Communications Infrastructure and Data Center segment grew 32% year-over-year to $225 million, with silicon photonics revenue doubling to over $200 million.
Automotive revenue increased to $427 million, up 3% year-over-year. The smart mobile devices segment declined 11% to $657 million. GlobalFoundries plans to expand its silicon photonics business and invested approximately $700 million in capital expenditures, including a €1.1 billion expansion in Dresden, Germany. Acquisitions included Advanced Micro Foundry to enhance its photonics capabilities.
