Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) signed a memorandum of understanding with NMDC Limited to explore opportunities in the rare earth elements (REE) sector in Gujarat. The partnership will assess the development of an integrated rare earth value chain, including exploration, mining, beneficiation, processing, and downstream applications.

The collaboration will focus on GMDC's Ambadungar rare earth deposit and aims to strengthen India's capabilities in critical minerals. Both organizations will evaluate technical collaboration and project development, supporting downstream industries linked to clean energy and advanced manufacturing.
