Godrej MHE Launches Advanced Facility in Khalapur for Material Handling Equipment
Godrej Enterprises Group has launched a new Material Handling Equipment facility in Khalapur, Maharashtra, with an annual production capacity of 6,000 units, expandable to 15,000. This facility utilizes Industry 4.0 principles, focusing on automation, sustainability, and digital integration, positioning Godrej MHE to meet growing demand in logistics and supply chain sectors.

Godrej Enterprises Group has initiated operations at its new Material Handling Equipment (MHE) facility in Khalapur, Maharashtra, designed to produce 6,000 units annually, expandable to 15,000. Located near vital transport links, the facility incorporates Industry 4.0 technologies, enhancing automation and digital connectivity across production processes.
The plant's footprint spans approximately 1.7 lakh sq ft, with plans for further expansion. Sustainability is a key focus, with initiatives in water conservation and energy efficiency, including dry paint booths that save significant water.
The facility is expected to support growth in India's logistics sector and facilitate exports to over 40 countries. Automation has improved operational efficiency, reducing manual handling and enhancing safety. Godrej's strategic investment of Rs 350 crore reflects its commitment to advancing local manufacturing capabilities.
