Goiânia Allocates R$ 26.8 Million for Data Center Modernization Efforts
The Goiânia City Hall has approved R$ 26.8 million for technology infrastructure upgrades, focusing on data storage and performance enhancement. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to increase digital capabilities through a R$ 132 million loan from BNDES for technological transformation.

Goiânia is investing R$ 26.8 million to modernize its technology infrastructure, which includes a data center upgrade and a high-performance database system. The update is part of a digital capacity enhancement project backed by a R$ 132 million loan from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES).
A hyperconverged solution from Nutanix will streamline operations by consolidating processing, storage, and networking resources. The modernization also includes the acquisition of an Oracle Exadata Database Machine for R$ 12.9 million and a backup solution for R$ 1.13 million.
This approach could enhance operational efficiency and data security while reducing reliance on multiple systems. However, the process has been flagged for adherence to legal recommendations to avoid recurring use of existing contracts without public bidding.
