Google Invests $15 Billion in New Florence Data Center Project
Google has announced a $15 billion investment for a new data center in New Florence, Missouri, promising significant job creation. Local infrastructure will also be enhanced alongside this project, addressing energy affordability and resource concerns.

Google's $15 billion investment in a new data center in New Florence, Missouri, is projected to create thousands of construction jobs and hundreds of full-time positions. The project, codenamed Project Spade, has already secured two permits from Kinetic Site Ventures LLC in February for data center complexes, with more expected as development progresses.
Governor Mike Kehoe emphasized the project's potential to enhance local infrastructure and energy affordability, aligning with Missouri's growing tech reputation. With construction also ongoing for an Amazon Web Services Data Center nearby, the area is becoming a significant hub for data infrastructure development, increasing competition for resources.
