Google Joins Samsung's Top Five Clients in 2025, Displacing Verizon Amid TPU Demand
In 2025, Google became one of Samsung's top five customers, replacing Verizon. The top clients were Alphabet, Apple, Deutsche Telekom, Techtronic Industries, and Supreme Electronics, making up 15% of Samsung's total revenue of 333.6 trillion won ($228 billion).
This shift is attributed to a demand for memory chips for AI data centers, with Samsung supplying over half of the HBM for Google's Tensor Processing Units. The Americas accounted for nearly 40% of Samsung's sales, growing 12.1% to 133.3 trillion won, while China's share declined to 14.2%. Domestic revenue in South Korea rose 17.1% to 46.6411 trillion won, driven by flagship Galaxy smartphone sales and demand for home appliances.
