Google Partners with Voltus to Enhance PJM Grid Capacity
Google and Voltus have signed a three-year agreement to unlock 100 MW of electricity from flexible resources in the PJM region, impacting 67 million people. This initiative aims to reduce energy demand during peak usage while providing economic benefits to local communities.

Google has formed a three-year partnership with Voltus to release up to 100 megawatts of new electricity capacity through flexible distributed energy resources in the PJM grid region. Voltus will manage resources like batteries and smart thermostats to lower energy demand when necessary, compensating local homeowners and businesses that participate.
This collaboration is expected to channel investments into local communities and strengthen the power systems serving Google's data centers. Research indicates U.S. consumers could save over $100 billion in the next decade through such smart solutions. The initiative aims to foster a more robust, clean, and affordable energy system.
