Google Signs 1.17 GW Power Purchase Agreements with Clearway Energy Group
Google has signed Power Purchase Agreements totaling 1.17 GW with Clearway Energy Group to supply power for its data centers in Missouri, Texas, and West Virginia, with a total investment exceeding $2.4 billion. These agreements will support operations across the Southern Power Pool, ERCOT, and PJM Interconnection markets for up to 20 years, with construction set to begin in 2023 and initial operations expected by 2027 and 2028. Clearway's stock rose 7% in premarket trading following the announcement.
