Google Unveils $1B Data Center Project at Port of Little Rock

Google's planned data center at the Port of Little Rock will include five industrial buildings, two office buildings, and an electrical substation, covering 1.43 million square feet. The project is being developed by Willowbend Capital LLC, a front company for Google, and the permit application for the project is currently under review by the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers, with public comments due by April 24. Key infrastructure will include transmission lines, a sewer lift station, and a parking lot, with construction impacting approximately 16.8 acres of wetlands.
Google is concurrently working on a $4 billion data center in West Memphis, indicating a significant commitment to expanding its operations in Arkansas. The implications of substantial water and electricity demand remain a concern for local resources.
