The government has announced a plan to leverage private capital for large-scale infrastructure projects, such as AI data centers and power grids. The 'Private Investment Activation Plan' aims to encourage citizen investment and profit-sharing.

Business models for AI data centers will be established this year, with the first project expected next year. Private capital will also support power grid construction through the National Growth Fund.

The plan includes the creation of a Citizen Participation Public Infrastructure Fund, allowing citizens to invest risk-free. The government expects to attract 100 trillion Korean won in private investment over the next five years and plans to revise related legislation in the first half of the year.
