Grandweld Shipyards Reduces CO2 Emissions by 920 Tonnes and Saves 374 Tonnes of Coal in 2025
In 2025, Grandweld Shipyards in Dubai achieved a reduction of 920 tonnes of CO₂ emissions and saved 374 tonnes of coal. The company installed a rooftop solar energy system, aiming to power 100% of its operations with renewable energy, contributing to the 'Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050'.
This initiative is equivalent to planting 48,537 trees. Grandweld constructed and delivered nine Aluminium vessels and invested in advanced manufacturing technologies, including CNC lathe and milling machines, improving efficiency and product quality. The shipyard has 13 vessels under construction for delivery in 2026 and plans further investments in automation technology to enhance its capabilities and support growth.
