The SAGR sewer project in Grant City, Missouri, is set to conclude by the end of January, pending favorable weather conditions. City Administrator Lizzie Jeanes reported that issues with rock quality have been resolved, and installation is currently underway.
The submerged attached growth reactor (SAGR) system will enable the wastewater lagoon to meet ammonia-nitrogen discharge levels, even during cold weather. Meanwhile, the city continues connecting residents to the sewer system, with three households already linked as the project progresses south along Missouri Route 46. Additionally, the city board approved budget amendments and extended water tower inspection bids to December 29, while addressing water line issues at a collapsed building site.
