Greece and Saudi Arabia Discuss Energy and Telecommunications Cooperation
Greek Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou met with Saudi officials to strengthen cooperation in energy, telecommunications, and raw minerals. Discussions focused on initiatives such as the East to Med data Corridor, renewable energy projects, and the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, aiming to enhance strategic collaboration for economic and technological independence between Greece and Saudi Arabia.

Key topics included the East to Med data Corridor (EMC), renewable energy initiatives, and the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).
Meetings with Saudi Investment Minister Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and Industry Minister Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef focused on Greek-Saudi projects such as electricity grid connections, green hydrogen, and digital infrastructure. The discussions aim to foster strategic cooperation for an economically and technologically independent future for both nations.
