Green Gardens Dobrovnik is finalizing plans for a large-scale baby leaf greenhouse project in northeastern Slovenia, supported by leading baby leaf grower Pieter Slaman. The project aims for year-round production of leafy greens using advanced greenhouse systems and a renewable energy strategy.

Key partners include Belgian Green Production Systems and Dutch Van der Hoeven. The project focuses on producing baby leaf lettuce with an integrated energy system utilizing renewable and low-carbon sources like geothermal energy, solar power, and carbon capture technology.

The initiative involves EU-based partners and experienced investors. Located centrally in Europe, the site has the potential for expanding production phases, targeting 10 to 15 tonnes of baby leaf lettuce per day. This project aims to enhance food security and sustainability in Central Europe.
