GreenYellow Secures €400M to Develop 350 Solar Projects in France with Energy Storage
GreenYellow has secured over €400 million in financing to develop a portfolio of more than 350 solar power plants in France, with an installed capacity of approximately 385 MWp. The project aims to produce nearly 480 GWh of renewable electricity annually, serving the energy needs of about 200,000 people. The initiative emphasizes decentralized energy solutions, integrating solar self-consumption and energy storage, and is expected to help reduce energy costs and enhance resilience for commercial and industrial clients.

GreenYellow has finalized financing exceeding €400 million to develop a portfolio of 350 solar power plants in France, achieving an installed capacity of around 385 MWp and an estimated annual production of 480 GWh. This portfolio, one of the largest decentralized solar initiatives in Europe, will be deployed over three years on existing infrastructure without additional land use.
The project integrates solar self-consumption with energy storage solutions to support commercial and industrial clients, aiming to reduce energy costs and exposure to price volatility. Crédit Agricole and Bpifrance are among the key partners in the financing arrangement.
