Grenada Secures $8.7 Million Financing for Battery Energy Storage Project

The Government of Grenada has obtained $8.7 million in financing for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project, consisting of a $5.7 million loan and approximately $3 million in grants. The funding is sourced from the Caribbean Development Bank, supported by contributions from Canada, the UK, and the EU.
The project aims to modernize battery storage infrastructure, enhance electricity grid reliability, and promote renewable energy integration. The Ministry of Finance is facilitating the execution of the agreements to ensure timely project implementation.
