The City of Gresham received $3.85 million in federal funding aimed at enhancing public safety and community services. Allocations include $1,005,000 for the East Multnomah Outreach Prevention Intervention program, which focuses on youth violence prevention through mentorship and support services.
Additionally, $907,000 is earmarked for the Real-Time Information Center to improve coordination among police and emergency responders. The Wastewater Treatment Plant will receive $1,092,000 for ammonia removal upgrades, while Main City Park will benefit from $850,000 for new play equipment and accessibility improvements. These investments aim to bolster community safety and infrastructure.
