Grid Metals and Avenir Minerals Form Joint Venture for Falcon West Cesium Project
Grid Metals Corp. and Avenir Minerals Limited have established a joint venture for the Falcon West Cesium Property in Manitoba. This partnership aims to advance the property through resource estimation and development, addressing global cesium shortages and enhancing North American critical mineral supply chains.

Grid Metals Corp. has entered a joint venture agreement with Avenir Minerals Limited to develop the Falcon West Cesium Property in southeastern Manitoba. Avenir will acquire a 15% interest for C$3,750,000, while Grid retains an 85% interest and serves as the operator.
The agreement allows Avenir to increase its stake to 30% upon completion of a preliminary economic assessment or mine plan. The joint venture will focus on establishing a resource estimate for cesium mineralization and conducting metallurgical tests to optimize ore processing.
This collaboration positions Grid within Canada’s critical minerals sector, addressing rising cesium demand in advanced technologies. Significant challenges include reliance on non-western cesium markets and the need for responsible engagement with Indigenous communities.
