Grid Telecom and 4iG Sign MoU for Fiber Projects in Greece and Albania
Grid Telecom and 4iG have entered a Memorandum of Understanding to develop high-capacity fiber links between Greece and Albania. This partnership aims to enhance regional digital connectivity and establish Greece as a strategic telecommunications hub.

Grid Telecom and 4iG have signed an MoU to explore potential terrestrial and subsea fiber projects linking Albania and Greece. The collaboration will focus on developing a high-capacity optical fiber link and a new subsea optical cable system in the Adriatic and Mediterranean Seas.
Grid Telecom currently operates over 6,000 km of fiber, including the Apollo East and West subsea systems. 4iG, which owns One in Albania, aims to bolster regional connectivity through this partnership. Additionally, Prodea Investments plans to invest up to €15 million in Quadrivium Digital Hellas, acquiring a 30% stake to develop an interconnection data center in Crete. This facility aims to position Crete as a digital hub, enhancing regional telecommunications infrastructure.
