GridStor Acquires 199 MW Battery Storage Project in Colorado from Accelergen
GridStor has acquired the 199 MW, 796 MWh Birdseye battery energy storage project in Adams County, Colorado. This acquisition, part of its strategy to expand utility-scale battery storage, is crucial as demand for reliable energy sources increases in the Western U.S.

GridStor has finalized the acquisition of the Birdseye battery energy storage project in Adams County, Colorado, with a capacity of 199 MW and 796 MWh. The project is set to begin construction in 2027, aiming for commercial operations by late 2028, and will create approximately 115 jobs during its construction phase.
Once operational, it is expected to provide power sufficient for over 150,000 households during peak demand hours. This acquisition marks GridStor's fifth in the past eighteen months and represents its ongoing efforts to bolster energy reliability in the Western U.S. The backing from Goldman Sachs Asset Management enhances GridStor's capacity to manage significant energy infrastructure projects.
