Gridturn Selected for EU Women TechEU Program, Secures €75,000 for EV Battery Recycling

STRATEGIC MINERALSENERGY STORAGECIRCULAR ECONOMY & RECYCLING

Danish startup Gridturn has been selected for the EU Women TechEU program, receiving €75,000 to develop its technology for converting used electric vehicle (EV) batteries into certified energy storage systems. Out of 1,107 applicants, only 40 startups were chosen.

Gridturn focuses on recycling decommissioned EV batteries, which retain 80-85% capacity, for stationary energy use. The initiative aims to enhance circularity in energy and decrease the need for new resources. Additionally, Gridturn will access a European mentoring program to support business and technological scaling.
