AMMONIA

The Grimaldi Group took delivery of the ammonia-ready Pure Car & Truck Carrier (PCTC) Grande Manila at a ceremony in Shanghai. The 200-meter vessel has a gross tonnage of approximately 77,500 tons and a loading capacity of 9,241 CEU.

It is designed for efficient transport of vehicles and other rolling cargo. The Grande Manila's maiden voyage will begin this week from Taicang, China, carrying over 5,800 cars and 1,300 meters of additional cargo to the UK, Spain, and Belgium, with a return to China scheduled for the end of April.

The vessel features a state-of-the-art electronic engine and has received the 'Ammonia Ready' class notation from RINA, enabling future conversion to ammonia fuel. Grimaldi aims to expand its presence in the Philippines, reflecting the country’s importance to their commercial network.
