Groningen Airport Eelde Launches Biweekly Flights to Norwich with LYGG
Groningen Airport Eelde will begin biweekly flights to Norwich starting March 4, operated by Finnish company LYGG, a regional air mobility platform. Flights will take place every Wednesday and Thursday, with ticket sales already open.
The specific aircraft type will depend on demand. LYGG aims to establish a North Sea Route connecting various airports, including Stavanger, Esbjerg, Humberside, and Den Helder. The airline reports sufficient demand for the Eelde-Norwich route, with potential for adding more connections in the future, which may lead to additional routes for Groningen Airport Eelde. Jonas van Dorp, Manager Commerce & Business Development, notes that this development enhances the airport's offerings for both leisure and business travelers.
