Ground Floor Energy Proposes Battery Storage Facility in Greenville, Maine
Greenville officials are considering a proposal from Ground Floor Energy to build a battery storage facility at a former steam plant. Currently, there are seven battery storage facilities in the state with over 230 megawatts of capacity, nearing a target of 400 megawatts by 2030.

The site is associated with Clean Maine Carbon, which operates a biochar production facility. If the grant is approved, further discussions will be needed with the select board.
