Gruppo Hera Unveils 2025-2029 Industrial Plan with €5.5 Billion Investments Focused on Sustainability
Gruppo Hera has announced its industrial plan for 2025-2029, allocating €5.5 billion for investments aimed at enhancing financial resilience and sustainability. The plan targets a 9.3% return on invested capital and forecasts a consolidated EBITDA of €1.76 billion, with net income for shareholders expected to reach €519 million.
Investments are aligned with the European taxonomy for sustainability, with 48% focused on infrastructure resilience, 35% on resource regeneration, and 24% on carbon neutrality. The plan also aims for a 35% reduction in CO₂ emissions by 2029 compared to 2019 levels, progressing towards net-zero emissions by 2050.
Notably, the company plans to distribute over €11.5 billion in value to stakeholders over the five-year period. The strategy includes significant investments in energy transition technologies, including the completion of two hydrogen valleys by 2026, and emphasizes digitalization to support operational efficiency.
