GTC Secures Contract for Largest NET ZERO Housing Development in the UK
GTC has been awarded a contract for the Cosmeston Farm project, a 576-home development exceeding the Future Homes Standard with its Smart Home system. This initiative aims to set a benchmark for net zero carbon housing by integrating advanced energy technologies and monitoring systems.

GTC's Smart Home system will be implemented at Cosmeston Farm, comprising 576 homes, which will exceed the Future Homes Standard. The system integrates ground source heat pumps, smart controls, and battery storage, aiming to reduce energy costs and reliance on the electricity grid.
GTC will monitor energy performance across the development, providing data to validate its net zero carbon operation target. This project, supported by Barratt Redrow and independently reviewed by Cardiff University, is expected to advance sustainable housing standards in the UK. Industry collaboration at Cosmeston highlights the potential for creating resilient, energy-efficient communities that address climate challenges.
