Guam Economic Development Authority Plans New Industrial Park to Attract Taiwan Semiconductor Investors
The Guam Economic Development Authority (GEDA) plans to open a new industrial park by the end of the year, with a focus on attracting Taiwan investors for data centers and semiconductor manufacturing. Governor Lou Leon Guerrero highlighted discussions with the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association during her recent trade mission to Taiwan.
GEDA has allocated $5 million for property acquisition and is preparing to bid for a broker to identify suitable locations. The new park will focus on infrastructure development for manufacturing and assembly facilities, with an emphasis on light industrial zoning. The initiative aims to position Guam as a potential hub for investors, particularly from Asia, seeking to expand in new regions.
