Guanajuato Student to Design Habitats for NASA and SpaceX
Juan Luis López Osorio, a mechanical engineering student at the University of Guanajuato, has been selected to design space habitats for NASA and SpaceX after developing projects during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has gained international experience through mentorship and internships at the Kennedy Space Center, and recently led his team to a second-place finish in a competition focused on Venus's orbit by creating structural models and engaging in advanced problem-solving activities.

Juan Luis López Osorio, a mechanical engineering student at the University of Guanajuato, has been selected to work with NASA and SpaceX, having developed space habitats during the COVID-19 pandemic. He participated in a call from SpacePort MX, supported by professors.
López emphasized his gratitude for the mentorship received, which helped him and his peers gain international experiences, including opportunities in Japan. He also completed internships at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In a recent competition focused on Venus's orbit, his team secured second place by developing structural models and engaging in problem-solving activities like programming and 3D modeling.
