Ren Jiajiong, NPC Deputy and director of Guangdong Datang International Leizhou Power Generation, proposed accelerating the integration of offshore wind power for hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol production. The 2026 Government Work Report prioritizes 'future energy' and a national low-carbon transformation fund.

Ren noted that offshore wind power is essential for developing a green economy and promoting industrial integration. She highlighted the model's potential to boost R&D in high-end manufacturing and provide low-carbon materials for the petrochemical industry. Ren called for increased policy support and the inclusion of green fuels in the national carbon market to enhance international competitiveness.
