Guelph City Partners with Stepping Stone and Royal City Mission for Daytime Drop-In Space Launching January 2026
The City of Guelph is collaborating with Stepping Stone and Royal City Mission to establish a daytime drop-in space, set to open on January 12, 2026. This initiative, backed by a two-year funding commitment of $850,000 annually, aims to provide essential daytime services such as food, washrooms, and showers for vulnerable residents.
Royal City Mission will host the drop-in space at 50 Quebec Street from January to March 2026 during construction at Stepping Stone's 23 Gordon Street location. Services will transition to Stepping Stone's site in April 2026. The program is designed to offer trauma-informed, low-barrier support, aiding immediate needs while promoting long-term housing stability.
