The deal includes approximately 7,300 acres of mineral interests and 500 million tons of recoverable coal reserves, positioning the company for future energy generation projects.

Guess & Co. has completed a $3 billion acquisition of energy assets in West Virginia, which encompasses 7,300 acres of coal, oil, natural gas, and mineral interests across Clay, Kanawha, and Wetzel counties. The acquisition includes nearly 164 acres of surface estate, 500 million tons of recoverable coal reserves, and 40 oil and gas wells, potentially supporting up to 5 GW of power generation in the long term.
This strategic investment aligns with Guess & Co.'s goal to enhance domestic energy production and infrastructure in response to rising electricity demand in the Appalachian region. The company is engaging with PJM and other stakeholders to explore further development opportunities.
