Guixi Smelter Achieves Full Automation in Copper Production in Jiangxi, China
Guixi Smelter, part of Jiangxi Copper Co., Ltd., has fully automated 12 labor-intensive steps in its copper smelting process, contributing to over 10% of China's electrolytic copper output. The facility's annual production capacity exceeds one million tonnes. Yingtan City, despite lacking copper mines, has developed into a major hub for copper smelting and processing, with an output value surpassing 500 billion yuan (approximately 72.49 billion USD).

Guixi Smelter, affiliated with Jiangxi Copper Co., Ltd., is a key player in China's copper industry, accounting for about 10% of the country's electrolytic copper output. The smelter has an annual production capacity exceeding one million tonnes and has fully automated 12 labor-intensive steps in its smelting process.
Yingtan City, home to the smelter, has evolved into a leading center for copper smelting and processing, generating an output value of over 500 billion yuan (around 72.49 billion USD) annually. Copper is increasingly utilized in various sectors, including new energy vehicles and AI chip manufacturing.
