Gwangju Metropolitan City signed a 'Gwangju-type AI Business Agreement' with nine specialized AI companies on December 16, marking investments from the 353rd to 361st agreements. This initiative aims to transition from research to practical application of AI technology across various sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, and national defense.

The agreement signifies a shift to the verification and commercialization phase, utilizing local infrastructure like the National AI Data Center. The participating companies include Novacos, NCAI, DSCL, Hommage AI, Vision Partners, and TOA, each contributing unique AI technologies to enhance local industry digital transformation. Gwangju City plans to support large-scale national AI and semiconductor projects, addressing labor and infrastructure challenges while fostering local economic growth and the AI ecosystem.
