Gyeonggi Province has initiated its third Basic Plan for International Development Cooperation to strengthen global solidarity and cooperation. The plan aims to expand Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects by 2028, focusing on four key areas: climate solidarity, future value, social safety net, and sustainable development.
The Gyeonggi Youth Climate Special Envoy Team will engage 110 youths in environmental education and green space activities in three countries. Projects for forest restoration and wastewater treatment will be undertaken in Mongolia and Indonesia.
Additionally, educational support for public school children will be provided in Nepal, and youth exchange programs will occur in Vietnam. A three-year performance management system will be implemented to enhance project oversight and facilitate public-private partnerships.
