H2Accelerate TRUCKS Expands with New Partners for Hydrogen Truck Rollout in Europe
The EU-funded H2Accelerate TRUCKS project aims to deploy 125 hydrogen fuel cell trucks across six European countries by 2028, with initial vehicles expected by 2026. New partners Scania CV AB, Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility Germany, and Hyliko join Volvo Group, while Iveco Group and Shell exit.
The trucks will fuel from an expanding network of hydrogen stations, supported by TotalEnergies and Everfuel, with TEAL Mobility enhancing fuel access. Hydrogen stations will have over 1000 kg daily capacity and will first focus on industrial regions, expanding along the TEN-T network. More than 20 European transport operators will participate, with key deployments in Germany and Switzerland, and potential demonstrations in Norway.
