H2Pro and Doral Hydrogen announced a partnership to develop a solar-powered hydrogen production project in Extremadura, Spain, during the European Hydrogen Energy Conference. This project will be the first to produce hydrogen solely from off-grid solar energy for blending into the natural gas pipeline operated by Enagás.

Initial capacity will be 5 MW with plans to expand to 50 MW, utilizing H2Pro's Decoupled Water Electrolysis (DWE) technology, which allows production to adapt to renewable energy fluctuations. This initiative aligns with Spain's renewable hydrogen development strategies and aims to provide a model for economically viable hydrogen production.
