Haitian Government Signs $19.8M Tourist Complex Agreement
The Haitian government signed an agreement for a $19.8 million tourist complex project aimed at boosting business tourism. This venture, led by local promoters, is expected to create over 350 permanent jobs and 1,200 temporary positions, enhancing economic development in the region.

On June 24, 2026, an agreement was signed between the Haitian government and project promoter Suze Maurice for the MAAJEWV tourist complex in Cap-Haïtien. The project, with an investment of $19.8 million, will feature 120 upscale rooms, a modular convention hall for 500 attendees, and various recreational facilities.
Construction is projected to take 24 months, with completion targeted for Q2 2028. The facility aims to create over 350 permanent jobs and around 1,200 temporary jobs during construction, supporting local industries. The project incorporates sustainable features such as a solar array and wastewater treatment.
