Hamilton Public Works Department Director Donny Ramer provided updates on wastewater treatment plant repairs, water system upgrades, and a shared path project on Marcus Street during a city council meeting. Major improvements include new rotors and monitoring systems at the wastewater plant, a new generator for the water treatment plant, and sewer line repairs on Madison Street. The department has also addressed water leaks and meter replacements. A shared use path project aims to enhance connectivity by fall 2026.

During a city council meeting on February 3, Hamilton Public Works Director Donny Ramer reported on several ongoing projects. The wastewater treatment plant received critical upgrades, including new rotors and monitoring systems.
A new generator was installed after the previous one failed during a windstorm. Sewer repairs on Madison Street have resolved significant blockage issues caused by tree roots and jail-related waste. The city has been actively repairing leaks, which peaked at a 53% loss, and replaced 122 water meters in 2025.
Plans for a shared path along Marcus Street include crosswalks and completion by fall 2026. Additionally, a vehicle speed feedback sign is planned for 2027.
