Harrison County to Host $400 Million Battery Storage Project at Pirkey Plant

A $400 million battery energy storage project will be developed at the Pirkey Power Plant in Harrison County, featuring 1,000 battery storage units on 42 acres. County Judge Chad Sims expects the project to generate over $3 million annually for the local school district.
