Hartek to Install 280MW Solar Plant and Battery System in Karnataka
Hartek Group will install a 280MWac/411MWdc solar plant along with an 80MW/320MWh battery energy storage system in Challakere, Karnataka, which will include design, engineering, and maintenance for one year. Additionally, Waaree Energies has secured a significant module supply contract, while Kosol Energie plans a substantial investment in solar PV manufacturing in Gujarat. IREDA has also approved a $22.5 million loan for a solar project in Zambia, marking its first international financing venture.

Hartek Group will install a 280MWac/411MWdc solar plant with an 80MW/320MWh battery energy storage system in Challakere, Karnataka. The project includes design, engineering, supply, installation, and one year of maintenance.
Waaree Energies secured a 2.21GW module supply contract, including a 210MW order from an Indian developer and a 2GW order from a US company, with deliveries scheduled from 2026-2030. Kosol Energie signed an MoU with the Government of Gujarat to invest INR900 billion (US$9.8 billion) in solar PV module manufacturing and related projects. IREDA sanctioned a US$22.5 million loan for a 100MW solar project in Zambia, marking its first international loan.
