HD Renewable Energy Expands Internationally with Focus on Energy Storage by 2026
HD Renewable Energy is set to expand internationally by 2026, focusing on battery energy storage, despite a 13.29% decline in December 2025 revenue. The company has initiated several projects, including a 111 MW battery facility in Australia and a 50 MW facility in Japan, while also securing 300 MW in Japan's Long-Term Decarbonization Power Source Auction. In Taiwan, HDRE is developing 3.3 GW of capacity in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric and Gigastorage Corporation.

In Australia, the 111 MW Templers Battery Project began operations with ZEN Energy and has a 695 MW pipeline. In Japan, a 50 MW battery facility in Hokkaido started commercial operations, with projected first-year income of JP¥2 billion.
HDRE won 300 MW in Japan's Long-Term Decarbonization Power Source Auction and received subsidies for a 20 MW project. In Taiwan, HDRE is developing 3.3 GW of capacity and partnered with Mitsubishi Electric and Gigastorage Corporation for new projects.
