Höegh Autoliners Joins WSC to Enhance Global Shipping Regulations and Sustainability
Höegh Autoliners has joined the World Shipping Council (WSC) to contribute to the development of global shipping regulations aimed at enhancing sustainability and economic competitiveness. CEO Andreas Enger emphasized the need for collaboration amid changing trade patterns, while the company advances zero-emission shipping through its investment in the Aurora-class newbuilding program, including the order of ammonia-burning engines. WSC president Joe Kramek recognized Höegh's expertise in vehicle carrier operations as essential for improving safety and sustainability in global trade.

The company is also advancing zero-emission deepsea shipping through its investment in the Aurora-class newbuilding program. The WSC president, Joe Kramek, acknowledged Höegh Autoliners' expertise in vehicle carrier operations, which are vital for global trade, as they work on improving safety, sustainability, and regulations. In September, Höegh Autoliners ordered ammonia-burning Everllence two-stroke engines for its Aurora-class PCTCs.
