Hello Space Launches Mag Drive System for Electric Bikes Promising 2150 km Range
Japanese startup Hello Space has unveiled its Mag Drive System for electric bikes at CES 2026, enabling recharging while pedaling and promising a remarkable range of 2,150 kilometers under optimal conditions. Utilizing advanced semi-supercapacitor technology, the system features automatic battery switching and can integrate with existing motors. The first application will be showcased by Indian manufacturer Xero at the event, although Hello Space plans to sell the technology exclusively to manufacturers for now.

Japanese startup Hello Space has introduced its Mag Drive System, an innovative assistance for electric bikes that allows recharging while pedaling. This system was showcased at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, USA.
It offers a potential range of 2,150 kilometers under optimal conditions, utilizing 80 Wh and semi-supercapacitor technology. Unlike traditional lithium-ion batteries, the system supports 100 to 250 W of recharge and features automatic switching between two batteries when one reaches a predefined level.
The technology can be integrated with existing central or rear motors, although Hello Space will only sell to manufacturers, delaying public availability. The first application will be by Indian manufacturer Xero, which will display a bike equipped with the Mag Drive System at CES 2026.
