Total receipts are projected at Rs 53,555 crore. Key allocations include Rs 41.14 for general services and Rs 17.85 for education. Salary deferments for government officials are implemented to manage financial pressure. The budget emphasizes income from the power sector and clean energy projects, along with increased honorariums for various workers.

The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister presented a budget of Rs 54,928 crore for FY 2026-27, indicating a revenue deficit of Rs 6,577 crore and a fiscal deficit of Rs 9,698 crore (3.40% of GSDP). Total receipts are estimated at Rs 53,555 crore, with revenue receipts at Rs 40,261 crore and capital account receipts at Rs 13,193 crore.
Expenditure includes Rs 41.14 on general services and Rs 17.85 on education. To address financial strains, salary deferments for government officials were announced. The government aims to enhance income from the power sector, proposing new solar and hydropower projects. Additionally, honorariums for workers will be increased, while funds for the MLA priority scheme are reduced by 50%.
