Chief Minister Sukhu has called for support from Prime Minister Modi to enhance Himachal Pradesh’s green initiatives, including a request for the rights to the Shanan power project, whose lease period has expired. He emphasized the potential for generating 1,000 MW of hybrid solar and wind energy in Spiti and sought approval for a loan from the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund for eco-friendly electric buses.
Sukhu also requested the Centre to cover 50% of the land acquisition costs for the Kangra airport expansion and urged for the release of Rs 4,300 crore in arrears from the BBMB.
