Hitachi Energy Launches HyFlex Compact for Zero-Emission Power Solutions
Hitachi Energy has launched the HyFlex® Compact, a hybrid generator providing zero-emission electricity for off-grid applications. This innovation addresses rising electricity demands by offering a versatile power solution that combines hydrogen fuel cells and batteries.

Hitachi Energy's HyFlex Compact is a portable hybrid generator designed for temporary and off-grid applications, integrating hydrogen fuel cells and high-performance batteries. This system operates as a mobile microgrid, delivering stable AC power while minimizing reliance on hydrogen when other sources are available.
The flexible power hub is aimed at diverse environments, including construction sites, EV charging, and critical infrastructure. Recent investments in power electronics capabilities, such as a new test center in Sweden and a competence center in the U.S., support the development of low-emission energy solutions. The introduction of HyFlex Compact builds on previous pilot projects exploring hydrogen-to-power applications, reflecting the industry's shift towards cleaner electricity generation.
